 What is Licorice?


Licorice root, Latin name Glycyrrhiza glabra, is also known as sugar candy in folk medicine, and it has been part of some herbal recipes in Traditional Chinese Medicine for thousands of years. In addition to its use as a flavoring and sweetener, the beneficial effects of triterpene saponins, glycyrrhizin, flavonoids, steroid compounds, and coumarin on health are also remarkable.


Among other things, licorice contributes to the normal functioning of the mucous membrane of the stomach and small intestine, thus supporting a state of health free of acid and reflux. It helps maintain the balance and comfort of the digestive system, supports and promotes digestion.It has a beneficial effect on the health of the nervous system and contributes to the healthy functioning of the immune system and the respiratory system.



 What is Lemongrass?


Lemongrass, known in Latin as Melissa officinalis, is a perennial herb with a pleasant, lemon-like scent. Its effects have long been recognized not only in Traditional Chinese Medicine, but also in European folk medicine. This is evidenced by the Hungarian vernacular name: medical lemongrass. It is well known for its calming effect. It is recommended to support relaxation, restful sleep, mental and physical well-being. As a versatile herb, it can also support the body in many other areas.



 What is Hops?


The common hop is a plant species belonging to the Rosaceae order, including the hemp family. A dioecious, perennial, herbaceous creeper whose mature specimens can reach 10 meters. Hops are relatively long-lived, they can live up to 20 years.

It is interesting that we find mentions of hops from the 1st century. At that time, the popular garden plant was sold in markets and its tender shoots were eaten like asparagus. Due to its flavoring and preservative properties, its use in brewing is part of VIII. by the 20th century, it had spread to most countries in Europe. The prefix thio- means sulphur, as its complex molecule also contains a sulfur atom. Vitamin B1 supports many essential functions in our body.

 What is vitamin B2?


Vitamin B2, also known as riboflavin, is a water-soluble, easily absorbed substance. The name riboflavin comes from the combination of ribose and the Latin word flavus = yellow. His role in the organization is multifaceted. In addition to its effect on the nervous system, for example, it participates in normal energy-producing metabolic processes, contributes to the maintenance of the normal state of red blood cells, iron metabolism, or the protection of cells against oxidative stress. The body is not able to store vitamin B2, the ingested excess is excreted in the urine. Its deficiency can cause various symptoms, which are better to avoid.


The recommended daily intake, regardless of age, is 0.15 mg/1000 kJ, but unfortunately the utilization of vitamin B2 also deteriorates in old age, so the restriction here is that the daily intake cannot be less than 1.2 mg.  What is vitamin B6?


Vitamin B6 is a water-soluble vitamin whose active form is PLP, or pyridoxal phosphate. It got its name because of its structure similar to pyridine. It exists in three different chemical forms: pyridoxine, pyridoxal and pyridoxamine.


Vitamin B6 is involved in many important processes in the body. It contributes to the balanced functioning of the nervous system, the maintenance of normal psychological functions, and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. In addition, it participates in energy-producing metabolic processes, normal protein and glycogen metabolism, and normal red blood cell formation.
